250g of Shredded Brown Cardboard

Prepared for use in wormeries and small composting systems.

Cardboard is one of the most useful materials in a wormery. It helps absorb excess moisture, improves airflow, gives worms somewhere comfortable to move through, and balances wet fruit and vegetable scraps with much-needed carbon.

Use it when setting up a new wormery, topping up bedding, covering fresh food, or rescuing a bin that has become too wet.

• balancing wet kitchen waste
• mixing with coir, compost or leaf mould

This is supplied dry, so it is easy to store and simple to use. Just soak, squeeze until damp like a wrung-out sponge, then add it to your wormery.

How to use

• For a new wormery, soak the cardboard first, squeeze out excess water, then fluff it up before adding your worms.
• For an existing wormery, add a handful or two whenever the bin looks too wet, compacted, or food-heavy.
• For feeding, place damp shredded cardboard over fresh scraps to help reduce flies, smells and moisture problems.

This product is intended for wormeries and composting systems. It is not a live inoculated bedding mix and does not contain worms.
